Experiencing the Infinite, Loving, Co-Creative Presence of the Divine
Welcome to the Church of Tzaddi
A Unique Experience of Church ...
The Church of Tzaddi is a unique community of individuals with various backgrounds and beliefs that are drawn together by our faith in the infinite, co-creative presence of the Divine within ourselves and our world, our care for each other, our passion for our communities, and by our awareness and exploration of metaphysical realities, which are aspects of this world created by and filled with the Divine.
Many people today identify as spiritual but not religious. Many people believe in some form of the Divine but don’t see themselves, their values, or their experience reflected in the dogma or doctrine of many faith communities. The Church of Tzaddi provides an expansive home welcoming those who recognize Divine Spirit in the world and who want to be able to explore that in ways that make sense to them. We have an organizing set of 21 Principles and a Code of Ethics to which our clergy adhere in their practices but beyond this people are free to express the movement of Spirit in their lives in the path that most calls to them. If you resonate with our 21 Principles and our Code of Ethics, then you can find a spiritual home in our church.
All people are welcome in our community simply because they are created in a unique and beautiful image of the Divine and are of sacred worth. We believe that divine, radically inclusive love excludes no one and that the diversity of God’s creation is part of what makes it beautiful. We are a church where it is safe to disagree about important things and still remain united in our love of God, each other, and ourselves. We have diverse approaches to faith and spiritual practice and believe that these differences in perspective on theology, sacred rituals/rites, and personal philosophy create a vibrant, evolving spiritual community.
Because of this, we covenant to accept, respect, and love one another along our faith journeys. In alignment with the 21 Principles and our Code of Ethics, no matter who you are, where you are from, or what you believe, you are always welcome in the Church of Tzaddi.
MISSION
Tzaddi welcomes and supports people in experiencing the infinite, loving, co-creative presence of the Divine within ourselves and others, in Nature, in communities, and in the world. We invite you to grow spiritually as part of our diverse community.
We encourage development of the spiritual gifts of higher consciousness.
We offer long-distance and in-person gatherings for connection and reflection, and programs for metaphysical spiritual direction, personal healing, and development of expanded consciousness.
We ordain and appoint metaphysical clergy to offer spiritual healing, counseling, ministry, and leadership, and to perform sacred ceremonies such as marriages, child blessings, and funerals.
What Makes Tzaddi Unique
Because our church is an inter-spiritual metaphysical organization, some of the traditional understandings of “church” and “clergy” need expanding so that understanding matches reality. We are, legally speaking, a church and our clergy do officiate at weddings, minister to people in need of spiritual healing, counseling, teaching, etc. However, we are different in that:
- We are focused primarily on the movement of Spirit in our lives and in the lives of those we assist rather than on the fulfillment of organizational goals such as conversion, enforcement of doctrine, etc. This means that we accompany and assist ourselves and those we work with in the journey we/they are actually on rather than trying to change someone’s life trajectory. We do this by bringing love and awareness to the best of our ability to support healing and growth, acknowledgement, and celebration. We are not interested in conforming to an external authority.
- We are decentralized. We have an organizing set of 21 Principles and a Code of Ethics to which our clergy adhere in their practices. However, beyond this, people are free to express the movement of Spirit in their lives in the style that most appeals to them. In other words, we are more about substance and less about form.
- Many of our church structures reside in Spirit and manifest via teleconferences, conference calls, and via the Internet, rather than in a brick-and-mortar building with pews and an altar. While we do have Light Centers and clergy who offer in-person gatherings, as a collective, we reside in the spiritual reality that connects us.
- Tzaddi does not pay our clergy for their work in the field. Clergy work as healers, counselors, ministers, teachers, and leaders in different ways, for example, through their own private energy healing or counseling practices, or within clinics or in alliance with other helping organizations.
- Our clergy move and serve as they are guided by Spirit rather than being placed somewhere by the organization.
